About me
Hi, I’m Isabella Richter.
I’m a botanical artist, and I create pieces born from the meeting point between art, nature, and slowness.
I work mainly with watercolor, pressed flowers, and photographic techniques like cyanotype. I find inspiration in the quiet gestures of plants, in their silent beauty, in the life that grows without haste. Each artwork is handmade and unique, created to bring calm and connection into the spaces they inhabit.
Many of the flowers and leaves I use come from walks in the countryside, the garden or travels. I collect, press them or illustrate them. It’s a slow process—but that’s where the magic lies: in taking the time.
My studio is also my shelter, a light-filled space where days are measured by the rhythm of the seasons.

My way
I studied Fine Arts in high school and later trained at a dressmaking academy, but I’ve always been fascinated by plants—thanks to the garden my mother lovingly and patiently tended. Over the years, I began to find in art a way to care for and understand them, inspired by everything my parents have taught me. That’s how this project was born—where each piece is a pause
